We arrived an hour early which was incredible! Well, I think it might have been closer to 45 minutes since we stopped along the way to let Happy and Jackson pee. Plenty of time to get a coffee at the hospital Cafe which was nice.
Thankfully, it is going to be relatively soon for my botox surgery on my bladder as well as having it regularly, every six to 12 months. The surgery is like magic when it comes to Overactive Bladder symptoms. I am so grateful that I will be able to have the surgery soon through the public system.
I asked Antia her opinion on health insurance and was very interested in her response which was the same as the gynaecologists opinion, which is that it is not needed when most treatments can be done publicly.
While waiting for my appointment, I emailed Elean, Ehsan and my pain specialist to ask if the pain treatment of a ketamine infusion can be done through the public system. Google says it is possible but it appears much harder to get it approved so it will be interesting what happens.
I have looked at many health insurance policies and I just don’t want to be paying what I am anymore and I definitely don’t want to increase it to Gold cover for psychiatric care when I no longer believe I need it. It cost’s a fortune.
We’re now on our way to Kmart to pick up a click and collect order as well as looking at some new clothes for Merv since he has lost so much weight nothing fits him properly anymore.
Then we both have appointments with Elean this afternoon. The first one being at 3:45 PM meaning we will get home really late tonight.
