We have booked and confirmed a carpet cleaning and pest control guy to come out to the house first thing at 8:00am on Friday the 14th. Which is our last day here. Works out well, since we still don’t know if the truck is going to arrive on Wednesday or Thursday. But by Friday everything will be out of the house so it works out well. I’m just so happy that we were able to get it confirmed. Our real estate agent has been absolutely no help whatsoever.

Anyway, one of the biggest issues we’re currently having is that we don’t have a set place to put the packed boxes. They are currently all over the place making every look so overwhelming.

So, I suggested to Merv that if we take the King mattress off the Queen bed base and put my queen mattress on his base which is coming with us, we could dismantle my bed now, and sleep in the same bed for the last week so that we can use my room to put everything that is already packed, which will make everything so much easier to deal with.

So, that is what we are doing now. Though Happy thinks it’s a game whenever we change the linen on either of our beds.

I am very seriously considering sending the link to this video once it uploads to the wonderful person I’m speaking to at the moving company. From our brief interactions, I think she would understand the concept of this channel.

Anyway, must keep packing!!

Side note: I have every intention and am actually very excited to get to a point in my life where everything has settled down and life feels more real, unlike this dissociation I constantly feel during this move. This is honestly one of the worst situations I’ve ever experienced. The trauma is so compounded now it’s a mystery as to how I’m even functioning enough to type this, let alone packing a house with the truck arriving in two or three days.
