I am beyond worried. We were back at the doctors clinic today. The wound is deeper, weeping more, and now it smells. Even the nurse said both yesterday and today that it smells. I personally haven’t smelled it myself.

The doctor said Merv needs to go to the hospital and see if they can drain the fluid built-up. Merv doesn’t trust the hospital closest to us, so he wanted to wait a day or two before going. But based on the conversation I had with my neighbour about what can happen if the cyclone hits us at the end week/weekend, I am going to take him tomorrow.

Merv is now genuinely unwell now and in pain for the first time since he had the injury. I am so concerned about him.

I’m beyond tired now. I apologise for the bad lighting.
