Day 79: 18th March 2022 | Part 2 | Nichele and Pedro helped with fence | I gave them my vape + weed
Thankfully there were still two security fences down front side of the house, which have perfectly secured the fences out back for any new dogs that I foster. I am picking up a husky sometime today.
I showed them the empty cookie packet and picture of all the food I ate last night. I definitely don’t want to do that again. Plus I didn’t sleep well at all. So I’m absolutely exhausted which isn’t great for my meeting today, though I am fairly certain this is just a formality considering what I am trained in and the fact I am going to be working for free.
Anyway, Nichele is having surgery shortly, so, since she went really well on Monday when she had a smoke with me, I gave them my vape and all remaining prescribed weed capsules that are still unused. I showed them how to use it and made sure to remember to tell them to make sure they are sitting down when having some, as I was gave it to someone who then promptly fell over 😅
Nichele still reckons I should be doing stand up. I tend to agree. Obviously wanting to be a public speaker means I need to start somewhere. I just get stuck in my head trying to write stories to learn and say on a stage setting, so, said maybe while she’s recovering I can tell her stories while dictating it to microphone to transcribe later. I know I’ll get better at it the more I practise. Just like everything else.
The other point I want to make is that even though I absolutely love my website and YouTube channel, and this volunteer job is about literally telling personal stories to uplift and motivate people, I think it is important I keep these to myself. No client will ever know. I’ve learnt all about having boundaries in the past couple of years, so it makes sense to keep it to myself.
