“Open the gate! It’s the police! Open the gate now, or we will break it down! Open the gate now! It’s the police!”

I heard this while finishing the yard by pulling a few weeds out by the fence. I and already finished mowing and raking, thankfully, and had put them into the shed undercover area, when I heard the above.

I was also wearing headphones and could only see the very top of the person’s helmet and in that first instinct wasn’t even sure if it was real or not, but I looked through the hole in the gate and there were in deed three heavy duty SWAT like looking cops standing in my driveway demanding to be let in.

I was visibly shaking by this point and still had no clue what was going on. I mean these guys did not look like any police officers I have seen before, plus they had so many guns strapped to them as well as what look like a rifle of some kind. All very scary shit.

The first two immediately went straight to the fence separating my place from the neighbours but thankfully the third guy stopped and asked if I was ok and assured me that I was safe and it had nothing to do with me, they just had to get the neighbours house surrounded so “they don’t try to escape”.

There was this hardcore truck parked out front of the neighbours house with many cops surrounding the front with their guns are raised and aimed at the house. They used the megaphone to keep asking for the people inside to come outside with nothing in their hands but they kept saying that for some time.

Right now at 2:20 pm the marked police cars have all gone but the police are still very much here, they are now using u marked police cars this time. I know they went through the neighbour’s house and broke into the shed that were padlocked, but I am not sure what is happening now.

I just want to finished sorting out my daytime weed capsules so I can have one and then take my laptop and info to my room and get some of my personality report assignment done.

I am super happy that I have managed to get both the front and back lawns mowed and the back raked. Plus Andrew helped by whipped snipping the edges of both, so they look great. I am very much the type of person who needs my home and yard to be nice and neat for me to feel at ease, so I’m thrilled the lawns are done.

I have written far more than I planned and still need to finish weed capsules, so better finish this description haha 🤣🤣🤣

UPDATE: It’s now 4:34 pm. I achieved so much this morning but this afternoon has been a bit all over the place given what happened. Now I just need to finish the multiple things I have started but not yet finished, because all I really want to do is go sit on my bed and get some work done for my assignment 😅

I’m honestly not sure of the laws around filming the police or in this case the CIRT, especially since they were in my backyard.

I had to Google what CIRT stood for myself, so if anyone is not sure, it means ‘Critical Incident Response Team’.

So my neighbours are even worse than I already thought 😅

And as yet, I have not even had a chance to look at my uni work. It’s already 5:18 pm now. Jeeze today is just slipping hours away from me 🙄
